How Instructors Can View and Filter Activity Log

Instructors can track their specific assignments, completions, and export reports for analysis.

1. Accessing the Activity Log

  1. From the left sidebar, select View Activities.

  2. The Activity Log will open, showing all sessions in the Sessions Table.

*Note: Instructors will only see associated activities for students that are part of their assignments using the platform.

2. Using the Sessions Table in the Activity Log

  1. Columns include:

    • Date – when the session occurred

    • Student – name and email of participant

    • Current Group – group assignment (if any)

    • Task – module or activity completed

    • Type - Either a task (staff driven) or self-serve (client driven)

    • Shared - If the activity report is shared, Yes/No

    • Module type (e.g., Interview or Resume)

    • Duration of task

    • Staff members email address

  2. Use the filters at the top to refine results:

    • Search by student name or email

    • Search by task name

    • Date range (From / To)

    • Type (All Types or specific)

    • Module (Job Search, Reflection, Mock Interview, etc.)

    • Minimum duration

    • Current Group

    • Current Instructor

3. Shared Reports

In the Activities Log, there is a column labelled Shared.

  • When a student chooses to share their self-serve progress (e.g., Resume or Mock Interview) and clicks Share in the activity module:

    • A shareable link is copied, which the student can provide directly to an instructor/staff member.

    • The activity log updates so that the Shared column displays Yes.

    • The View Summary column provides a direct link to the report.

  • If a user does not share their self-serve progress, the Shared column will display No.

For dispatch activities, admins and instructors automatically have access to the summary. They can view it directly from the Activities Log or within the module itself, under the Saved Resumes and Sent Interviews tables. In these cases, users do not need to click Share or send a link.

4. Summary Reports

If the summary report is tied to an assignment, it can be helpful to have the focused feedback in addition to the pass/fail requirement.

Instructors/Staff can use summary reports to start open and helpful conversations with students. These reports show both strengths and areas to work on, which makes it easier to give focused feedback.

For example, a Mock Interview Summary Report might note things like communication style, pacing, use of filler words, and how the candidate did on each question. This helps instructors/staff talk about specific moments, such as how someone answered a motivation question or if they linked their background to the job requirements, and guide them toward clearer, more confident answers.

A Resume Summary Report does something similar by breaking down rubric scores, ATS alignment, and giving feedback for each section. Instructors/Staff can use this to help job seekers turn duty statements into accomplishment-focused bullet points, adjust summaries to fit the job, and make sure credentials are listed correctly. By going through these details together, instructors/staff can move past general advice and have practical, evidence-based talks that really help learners grow.

5. Tracking Student Sessions

  1. Use the filters at the top or the search bars to quickly locate specific students or tasks.

    1. Any filters applied will change the data shown in the boxes of Total Students Shown, New Students and Engagement.

6. Exporting or Reporting Options

  1. Click Export CSV to download session data.

  2. Exported files can be opened in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.

  3. Use exported data to track participation, outcomes, and instructor engagement.

7. Admin Tip

Filtering by date range is the fastest way to prepare monthly or quarterly reports. Exported CSV files provide a reliable record of instructor and student activity and can be shared with team leads.
