Creating a Mock Interview Assignment

This guide shows you how to set up, manage and review Mock Interview assignments in InStage.

Updated over a week ago

A. Overview of the Mock Interview Assignment

The Mock Interview Assignment helps students run through realistic, job-specific mock interviews that respond in real time. The Voice AI adapts to students' answers and remembers prior responses to generate natural follow-up questions.

There are three structured components to the Mock Interview Assignment, which include:

  1. Screening: Students share their backgrounds and job motivations.

  2. Middle Round(s): Students share their experience with the job posting and answer situational questions.

  3. Final: Students share their values and commitment to the job posting.

This assignment is best used for:

  • Mock interview assignments with low completion or high anxiety.

  • Courses that require repeatable practice before graded assessments.
