InStage offers a new form of in-class reflections. Students will be able to reflect on their term/ co-op experiences in a more impactful and meaningful way

Steps:

Step 1. Sign In: If you are unsure how to sign in, please visit this help doc first

Step 2: Navigate To Assignments. By clicking on the hamburger menu and then assignments, you will be able to see all previously created assignments and create new ones.

Step 3. Create An Assignment. Here, you can see all of your assignments and create new ones. By clicking on the "Create Assignment" button in the top right, you will be brought to a form that will allow you to start making the assignment.

Step 4. Basic Information: Enter in the information about your course or equivalent and pick the 2 competencies that you would like the users to focus on.

Step 5. Create Reflection Session Dates: There are at least 3 sessions. 1 for a pre-reflection, at least 1 for the mid-reflection, and 1 for the the final reflection session. The dates indicated in red, are the due dates for each session, while the dates indicated in blue are the availability start date (Or the date that the students can start using the simulation)

Step 6. Student Emails.

  • Option 1. Enter a list of student emails to automatically send an invitation link. You can upload a csv or enter them manually. They must each be seperated by a comma. For instance: [[email protected],[email protected]]

  • Option 2. Copy the Sign-up Link and send it to your students.

The reminders at the bottom are set up to send each student who signs up a reminder email the morning that the assignment availability begins. For example, if you have an assignment due September 10th and you set the start of availability window to be the 8th, students will get an email the morning of the 8th reminding them to complete their session with a link that will take them directly to reflection.

Step 7. Automatic Report Delivery: As an admin, you can choose to receive automatic reports at the end of each session or after the entire reflection is complete. You can also choose to deliver a CSV or DOCX (Both is recommended as each will have different information) This can also be viewed from the dashboard without having to send it through an email if you would prefer not to get an email.

Step 8. Final Review: Here you can review your reflection assignment before deploying it. After it has been deployed, the reflection is good to go and will re ready to start as the session dates become available.
