Tailoring Cover Letters to each job posting can be a pain. However, with InStage's new Cover Letter assist feature, it's not only quick and easy, but it utilizes AI to compare your current version to what is on the job posting and can even rewrite portions to make sure your qualifications are not overlooked!

Step 1. Upload Your Cover Letter. Simply Drag & Drop your cover letter in .pdf or .docx format into the upload section or click on it and navigate to your file through the file explorer.

Step 2. Review Information Breakdown. Once this is uploaded, you will see a breakdown that you can go through and do a quick once over to make sure everything is accurate. Once you verify that everything is correct, you can click on generate at the bottom of the page.

Step 3. View Results & Feedback. Here, under the cover letter assist tab, you can see how well your cover letter aligns with the job post and how well it is formatted based on each section. You can also view it's strengths and weaknesses.

Step 4. Edit The Sections. Below this, you can find which section you would like to improve and get AI to enhance/ revise it for you. You can even shorten it, formalize it, and insert it directly into that section which replaces the text. You can also edit it manually if you choose to.

Step 5. Check Your Updated Score. Now, back up to the top. Click on "Regenerate" to recheck your score and feedback to see it improve! You can repeat this as many times as you need if you find you need multiple revisions.

Step 6. Proceed To Your Interview. Now, you can proceed with your interview or follow the same steps for your resume if you haven't done that already.
