Video Walkthrough For Students:

Goal:

The primary goal of this assignment is to provide students with a hands-on opportunity to develop and refine their communication and presentation skills using InStage. Students will engage in a virtual presentation that they can look back on with detailed feedback on what they did well as well as how they can improve.

What To Expect During The Simulation:

Presentations mimic the flow of real in person presentations. It will begin with a brief introduction by the avatar. After this, you are expected to take over and give your presentation. Take as much time as you need to give your presentation but also keep in mind oversharing irrelevant information and boring your audience. After your presentation is finished, the floor will open up to any questions from the audience. You will need to do your best to answer these questions to the best of your abilities and wow the audience. Once the question phase is over, this will conclude the presentation and you will be able to generate your report.

Device Considerations:

  • A computer with a webcam and microphone enabled (InStage will not operate on a mobile device)

  • Stable Internet Connection

  • Web Browsers: Google Chrome or Safari

What To Submit:

You are required to submit your simulation report link to your instructor. This can be found at the top right of your report by clicking on "Share" and "Copy".
