Instructor guide to dispatch a Résumé and Cover Letter for students

Instructors can use the Resume & Cover Letter Assist to support Students with creating a new, or updating existing résumé versions tailored to specific job postings.

Overview of Dispatch Resume and Cover Letter Assist

Many school co‑op departments and career centres provide students with one‑on‑one résumé and interview preparation. Instructors can quickly create new résumés or update existing ones tailored to specific job postings, helping students strengthen their career readiness.

With the Dispatch Resume and Cover Letter Assist, the job posting is retained and used to generate tailored, AI‑guided feedback. The tool evaluates how well a student’s documents align with the role, providing section‑by‑section suggestions for improvement based on both a rubric and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) score. Instructors can then review the results to support students with targeted coaching and preparation.
