A Mock interview will give you realistic practice with interview scenarios tailored to a job title. The practice will help build confidence, refine communication skills, and receive actionable feedback in a safe environment before engaging with real employers.

Please note: Mock Interview calls will be made available to you at different times throughout your course. You will have the option to schedule the call at a time that is most convenient to you, within the expected call window.

For your assignment, you will be asked to complete a series of mock interview phone calls using InStage.

1. Once you are logged into your InStage account, you will see your dashboard on the main homepage. It will show you any assignments you are enrolled in. You may receive an email letting you know you've been assigned to a Mock Interview Assignment.

​2. If there are any assignments under 'Your Assignments' you can click the name to enter.

3. Once you are in the assignment, you will need to Add a Job to Begin. Your Interview questions will be tailored to this role.

You can use an actual job posting from an external site (i.e, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.). Copy and paste the job description. Click 'Continue.' If you add an actual job description the interviews will be more much real to what you can expect if you were interviewing for that exact position.

4. Start Web Call Now: Using Your Computer's Browser.

5. Call Me: Option to enter your phone number and receive a phone call instead of using the web video feature.

​6. Once you complete your mock interview session, it will give you a breakdown of how it went, as well as show your transcript and ask you to submit. After you have reviewed each section, click submit so your instructor can see your session.

Please note: In order for your assignment to be submitted once the call is completed, you must hit 'Submit'.​
