How to create a mock interview assignment for students

This guide shows Instructors how to set up, manage and review Mock Interview assignments in InStage.

A. Overview of the Mock Interview Assignment

The Mock Interview Assignment helps students run through realistic, job-specific mock interviews that respond in real time. The Voice AI adapts to students' answers and remembers prior responses to generate natural follow-up questions.

The assignment has three parts:

  1. Screening: Students share their backgrounds and job motivations.

  2. Middle Round(s): Students share their experience with the job posting and answer situational questions.

  3. Final: Students share their values and commitment to the job posting.
